The best place to start is protecting the PC from intruders. With an
"always on" connection, a firewall is essential. Zone Alarm offers a
free version of its' well respected firewall. It's a little tough to
find, since they would rather sell you a pay version. Click on the "Do

Viruses have been a problem for years and can really do some
irreversible damage to your data. It's
always good to have a backup routine for important files and I have a
link to a good free antivirus
program to keep the bugs out of your data. Click the infected computer

malware. This includes spyware/
adware/trojans etc. and is responsible for a lot of computers
drastically slowing down or locking up.
